Tallahassee, FL - Today, the Florida Education Association — representing more than 120,000 teachers, education staff professionals, higher education faculty, and other public education workers across Florida — endorsed José Javier Rodríguez for Florida Attorney General, citing his record of standing up for public education.
"José Javier Rodríguez has been a strong advocate for Florida's educators, support professionals, students, and neighborhood public schools," said Andrew Spar, President of the Florida Education Association. "He understands the importance of protecting public education and standing up for the teachers and staff who serve Florida's students every day. We are proud to endorse him for Attorney General."
Rodríguez, a workers' rights attorney, former state senator, and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor, is running to restore the Attorney General's office as an advocate for Floridians focused on tackling crime, costs, and corruption.
“I am not only an advocate for our public schools, I am a product of them, and I know the work Florida's educators and school staff do every day to shape the future of our state," said José Javier Rodríguez.
