Miami, FL.- Former state representative and Florida’s Insurance Consumer Advocate, and former Florida Attorney General candidate Sean Shaw announced his endorsement of José Javier Rodríguez for Florida Attorney General, citing Rodríguez’s legal experience, commitment to accountability, and dedication to protecting Florida consumers and working families.
Shaw’s endorsement reflects confidence in Rodríguez’s understanding of the Attorney General’s role.
“When I ran for Attorney General, I said Florida needed a different approach - one that stands up to special interests, defends civil rights, protects our kids, and fights for everyday Floridians. I believed then, and I believe now, that if you’re doing wrong, you ought to be afraid, because the Attorney General should be willing to hold everyone accountable, no matter who you are,” said Sean Shaw.
“José Javier Rodríguez embodies that commitment. He has the legal experience, courage, and integrity to aggressively enforce the law, take on corporate and political malfeasance, and protect consumers and workers. He understands that the Attorney General’s job is to put the law and the people first, and that’s why I’m proud to endorse him for Attorney General.”
“I’m grateful for Sean Shaw’s support and for his confidence in my commitment to accountability and the rule of law,” said José Javier Rodríguez. “Sean has spent his career standing up for consumers and working families. I’m honored to have his support.”
This endorsement adds to the growing list of respected leaders backing Rodríguez’s campaign, including former Florida Attorney General Bob Butterworth, former U.S. Senator Bill Nelson, former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg, and former Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber.
